Meet Whitney

Whitney McNell founded her eponymous, full-service design firm in 2021 following 16 years refining her aesthetic and expertise through roles in interior design and high fashion. Whitney’s signature is a skillful blend of eye-catching color, pattern and texture, and a well-curated alchemy of traditional and modern elements—always with a twist of elevated whimsy.

Whitney engages her clients as true collaborators throughout the design process, helping them hone their taste into polished interiors that look and feel extraordinary, memorable. “Every home and client offers a unique personality,” she says. “My approach is to reveal it, then find its ultimate expression in each space.”

A native of Nantucket who first fell for classic architecture on the island, Whitney lives with her family in Darien, Connecticut, where she is lovingly restoring her 1870s farmhouse.
